Start Your Journey Today

To begin with, we would ask for known information about the people to be researched.

Ideally:

  • Full names, including middle names and maiden names
  • Dates and places of birth, marriage and death
  • Occupations
  • Locations of residence
  • Names of parents and siblings
  • Any other known information

Plus, any records, certificates, newspaper cuttings, obituaries etc. you may have.

The purpose is to ensure that the right people are researched, both initially, and, crucially, further down the line. This is particularly relevant where popular christian and surnames are involved, e.g. John Smith.

You can also tell us about any family folklore that has been passed down the generations that you would like to be proved or disproved.

Please do not worry if you only have scant information as it is amazing what can still be unearthed.

At the end of the research process, the following will be available online:

  • Your Family Tree
  • Comprehensive Profiles for direct ancestors i.e. parents, grandparents, great grandparents etc, which include a wealth of information, such as: when and where they were born, educated, lived, married and died, their occupations and names of their parents, siblings, spouses and children
  • Supporting records, such as: Birth, Baptism, Marriage, Death, Burial, Censuses, School lists and Yearbooks, Military, Immigration and Emigration, Directories and Members’ lists, Court, Land, Wills, Probate and Financial, Electoral lists, Photos, Press Cuttings and Obituaries

You, and if you wish, other members of your family, will be provided with a link to the online facility. Registration, and the ability to view the Tree and Profiles, will be free of charge.

Should you wish to access the detailed supporting records, which, I must say, can be wonderful to see, you may take out a subscription. This can be a short term arrangement and you can usually take advantage of a free trial.

We will be pleased to provide you with an example of completed Profiles in advance of the research process.
